Welcome to My Blog: Kidney Cancer Warrior Queen
Hi, I’m Reagan!
Last year, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of clear cell renal cell carcinoma. It was one of those life-altering moments. Everything shifted in an instant. At the time, I was a 46-year-old mom and wife. And now, I’m a cancer patient trying to survive.
This June 25th marks one year since my open radical nephrectomy, a major surgery that left me with a 12-inch scar and a whole new perspective on life. That scar is more than a mark on my body. It’s proof that I am not just a cancer patient. I am a warrior.
I’ve decided to put my story into a blog to help others walking a similar path to mine. And since my name, Reagan means “queen,” calling my blog, Kidney Cancer Warrior Queen feels exactly right.
I want a space to share my unfiltered truth. My raw, emotional experiences, both good and bad. Writing my thoughts helps me. This blog isn’t just a cancer diary. It’s a story of identity, strength, fear, advocacy, and hope. I hope my words offer you comfort, insight, or simply the reminder that you are not alone.
To my friends and family near and far, this is also a place for you to follow along, hear my story, and walk this journey beside me.
Welcome to a piece of my story.
With peace, love, and health, 💗 Reagan
